Honestly? Maybe. If you like movies where people just sit around in rooms talking about how they feel, you’ll dig it. If you need explosions or a plot that moves faster than a turtle, look elsewhere. People who love small, personal dramas will get a kick out of it. Folks who want a clean, tidy ending will probably walk away grumpy. ☕
The whole thing feels like you’re eavesdropping on a conversation you weren’t invited to. It’s a bit messy. The middle act drags, and there is this one scene where they’re eating dinner that lasts way too long. I kept waiting for someone to drop a fork or just leave, but they just kept talking.
There’s a weird energy in That Certain Trio that reminded me a little of . It’s got that same sense of people trying to keep their cool while everything slowly goes sideways. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it just feels like the actors are waiting for the director to yell cut.
I wasn't sure about the ending. It felt a bit rushed, like the writers realized they had to wrap it up before the budget ran out. One character just… walks off-screen. That’s it. It’s oddly realistic, even if it feels incomplete.
It’s not a masterpiece. It’s not trying to change the world. It’s just a movie about three people who don't know what they want. Sometimes, that’s enough. It’s got a bit of that same aimless charm you find in , just without the period costumes.
Don't overthink it. Just watch it. Or don't. It’s fine either way. 🤷♂️
