Biography
Emerging from the town of Kulmsee in West Prussia (modern-day Chełmża, Poland) on May 1, 1887, Kurt Vespermann carved out a distinguished career in the German cinematic landscape. A versatile performer, he left an indelible mark on the screen with his roles in the 1923 adaptation of Die Buddenbrooks, the 1934 film Die Welt ohne Maske, and the 1957 drama Bewildered Youth. Off-camera, he shared his life with his wife, Lia Eibenschütz. Vespermann's journey through the golden age of film concluded in Berlin on July 13, 1957.
