Biography
Carl Harbaugh first drew breath on 10 November 1886 amid the marble corridors of Washington, D.C. A century ago, he stepped before cameras to help shape early Hollywood, co-writing and starring in The Tomboy and Little Miss Hawkshaw, both released in 1921, then trading quips with Buster Keaton in College six years later. Off-screen, he shared his life with actress Frances Lawson Bouis. His final scene unfolded on 26 February 1960 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, closing a seventy-three-year story that began on the East Coast and flickered to a stop under the California sun.
