Madame Mystery

In this 1926 swan song for the original 'Vamp' of cinema, Madame Mystery finds Theda Bara navigating the transition from dramatic seductress to slapstick protagonist. The narrative centers on a high-stakes espionage plot where a female secret agent secures a canister of a revolutionary, highly volatile explosive gas.
