Biography
Born in the heart of Chicago on December 6, 1888, Eve Unsell rose to prominence as a sharp-witted writer and editor during cinema's golden transformation. Her name remains synonymous with evocative works like the 1925 classic The Ancient Mariner, the 1929 feature The Spirit of Youth, and the 1933 film Melodía prohibida. Partnered in life with Lester Blankfield, Unsell remained a fixture of the Los Angeles creative community until her passing in Hollywood on July 6, 1937.
