Die Venus von Montmartre

In the vibrant, bohemian heart of early 20th-century Montmartre, a poignant tale unfolds around Colette (Lya Mara), a young flower seller whose ethereal beauty captures the imagination of Jean-Luc (Leopold von Ledebur), a struggling, passionate painter. He sees in her the embodiment of classical grace, dubbing her his 'Venus of Montmartre,' and she becomes the sole muse for his most ambitious works. Their artistic collaboration blossoms into a fervent, clandestine romance, set against the backdrop of bustling ateliers and gas-lit streets. However, their idyllic existence is threatened by the arrival of the sophisticated Madame Dubois (Olga Tschechowa), a wealthy patroness who offers Jean-Luc the keys to artistic success and societal acceptance, but only if he forsakes his 'street muse.'
