Flesh and the Devil

In the rigid social architecture of pre-war Europe, two soldiers, Leo and Ulrich, share a bond forged in the innocence of childhood and the discipline of the military. This 'blood brotherhood' is the foundation of their lives until Leo encounters Felicitas, a woman whose presence is a tectonic shift in his moral landscape. Their illicit affair leads to a fatal duel and Leo’s forced exile. Upon his return, he discovers the ultimate betrayal: Felicitas has not only moved on but has married Ulrich, the one man Leo swore to protect. The film navigates the wreckage of this triangle, examining whether a platonic oath can survive the corrosive power of sexual obsession.
