In the bustling halls of high school, the long-standing rivalry between Pete and Bill, forged in childhood, finds fresh impetus. Their competitive dynamic intensifies with the arrival of Eleanor Barrett, a new classmate who inadvertently becomes the focal point of their affections. This simmering animosity manifests in various school activities, most notably during a disastrously comedic Latin class production, which spirals from intended tragedy into outright farce. The boys' personal feud soon threatens the integrity of the school's beloved basketball team, prompting a reluctant truce driven by their shared loyalty to the institution.
