Jolly Tars

Lloyd, a man seemingly perpetually a step behind life's current, arrives at Grace's residence just as her father announces an imminent European voyage, whisking Grace away from him. A desperate plea for a final farewell leads to a rendezvous at the pier. However, fate, or perhaps Lloyd’s own navigational incompetence, intervenes: a misrouted bus delivers him not to a tearful goodbye, but directly into the clutches of a U.S. Navy recruitment officer. Before he can fully comprehend the gravity of his situation, Lloyd finds himself irrevocably committed to a four-year tour of duty, thus setting the stage for a series of escalating slapstick scenarios and visual gags as he navigates the bewildering world of naval life.
