Summary
In the labyrinthine heart of post-war Parisian high society, where opulence thinly veils moral decay, a young aristocrat, Lady Valérie de Montaigne (Nathalie Kovanko), finds herself an unwitting pawn of circumstance. Stripped of her family's ancestral fortune and burdened by a fabricated scandal that tarnishes her lineage, Valérie adopts the enigmatic persona of 'La dame masquée.' Cloaked in an impenetrable veil of mystery and a meticulously crafted mask, she infiltrates the city's most exclusive salons and clandestine gambling dens, not for avarice, but in a desperate, audacious quest to reclaim her family's honor and expose the architect of their ruin. Her clandestine existence soon entwines with that of Count Armand de Valois (Nicolas Rimsky), a noble and discerning gentleman captivated by her veiled allure, and Baron Volkov (Boris de Fast), a malevolent manipulator who holds the key to her past and seeks to exploit her present. As Valérie navigates a treacherous landscape of whispered slanders, high-stakes gambits, and burgeoning romance, the threat of exposure looms, promising to shatter her carefully constructed world and reveal the poignant truth behind the mask.
