Summary
Two small-town boys—one a swaggering soda-jerk, the other a diffident garage apprentice—lock antlers over a ribbon-shop Venus whose laugh smells of peach soda and danger. Their skirmish begins with mock drag races down a dust-silver road and ends in a shuttered attic where jealousy is measured in bruises and the girl herself, bored of being the prize, redraws the battle lines so that the victor discovers he has already lost.
Synopsis
The boys are in a rivalry over a pretty girl.
