Thundering Landlords

Thundering Landlords is a kinetic exploration of domestic aspiration gone horribly wrong, following a family's ill-advised leap from the predictable constraints of apartment living into the structural anarchy of an unfinished house. Rather than a sanctuary, their new home is a deathtrap of missing floorboards, treacherous walls, and a hostile crew of carpenters who treat the construction site like a private battlefield. As Glenn Tryon’s character attempts to assert the authority of a homeowner, he is met with a relentless series of physical humiliations, ranging from sudden descents through joists to the rhythmic trauma of falling debris. The film transforms the mundane anxieties of home ownership into a high-stakes arena of slapstick violence, where the very concept of 'shelter' is systematically dismantled by gravity and incompetence.
