Biography
Newark, New Jersey, greeted Lillian Langdon’s arrival on 25 November 1860, and from that first breath she seemed destined for footlights. By the time cinema began to flicker, she had already honed a stage presence that translated effortlessly to the new medium, leaving memorable turns in Intolerance (1916), Daddy-Long-Legs (1919), and The Millionaire Pirate (1919). Off-screen, she shared her life with Mr. Bolles, the man who held her heart between scenes. Her final curtain fell on 8 February 1943 in sun-washed Santa Monica, California, closing a life spent conjuring characters that still linger in the light of the projector.
