Biography
Helena, Montana, claimed him first—August 27, 1880—then the flicker of silent film stole him away. By 1917 Tom Wilson had swaggered through The Yankee Way, and a decade later he was still riding the boom, coaxing laughs out of Ham and Eggs at the Front and stamping his boots all over Pioneer Scout. Between takes he quietly kept productions on track as an assistant director, a steady hand behind the chaos. The lights finally dimmed for him in Los Angeles on February 19, 1965.
