Summary
Roy Cummins is a man defined by the cockpit, a former military aviator who has traded the theater of war for the transient spectacle of summer resort exhibition flights. His life takes a sharp, dangerous turn when he accepts a $500 fee—an exorbitant sum for a simple ferry job—to deliver a mysterious passenger to a waiting steamship. The transaction seems routine until Patricia Barton, a woman with a sharp eye for the underworld, intervenes with a chilling warning: Roy has unknowingly become an accomplice to a criminal fleeing the law with a hoard of stolen valuables. Suddenly, the sky is no longer a sanctuary. Roy finds himself ensnared in a web of organized crime, hunted by a ruthless gang of airborne bandits who specialize in hijacking cargo planes. To complicate his survival, the gang's leader deploys a 'vamp'—a professional seductress—tasked with extracting Roy's secrets through manipulation and charm. The film shifts from a character study of a veteran to a high-octane aerial heist thriller where the stakes are measured in altitude and integrity.
