Summary
Within the gilded cage of an affluent, yet emotionally desolate, household, the nascent spirit of Nelly Raintseva is systematically stifled. Her existence, from its earliest stirrings, is defined by an acute psychic deprivation, a profound void where nurturing affection should reside. The patriarch, a titan of finance, remains perpetually ensnared in the labyrinthine machinations of commerce, his paternal role reduced to a distant, almost spectral presence. Concurrently, the matriarch, a figure of superficial elegance, navigates a social cosmos of incessant, trivial engagements, her maternal duties utterly eclipsed by a relentless pursuit of societal validation and fleeting amours. Nelly, thus, is condemned to drift through a childhood devoid of genuine warmth or guidance, her inner world becoming a barren landscape mirroring the emotional aridity of her environment, a silent testament to the devastating impact of parental neglect cloaked in material abundance.
Synopsis
Nelly Raintseva's life has been going on in very unfavorable conditions since childhood. Her father, a wealthy banker, was busy exclusively with his commercial affairs, and her mother was engaged in social flirtation.
