Biography
Atlanta, Georgia, claimed William Dyer on 11 March 1881, and by 1919 the camera had claimed him right back. In that single whirlwind year he stalked through The Trail of the Octopus, traded punches in The Red Glove, and chased ruin in Man’s Desire—three quick reels that still carry his shadow. Fourteen years later, on 22 December 1933, the lights dimmed for good in Hollywood, California, but the flicker survives.
