In the whimsical, albeit slightly stifling, European principality of Sylvanwood, Prince Radieschen, a man of noble birth but decidedly common interests, finds himself stifled by the rigid expectations of court life, particularly the looming prospect of a politically advantageous, yet personally unappealing, arranged marriage. His true passion lies not in statecraft, but in the humble pursuit of horticulture. Driven by a desire for authenticity and a fleeting wish to escape his gilded cage, Radieschen orchestrates a daring, if somewhat farcical, plan: he trades places with Lilli, a spirited commoner whose striking resemblance to a visiting foreign dignitary provides the perfect cover. As Lilli awkwardly, yet charmingly, navigates the labyrinthine etiquette of the royal court, often with the bewildered assistance of the royal valet, the true Prince Radieschen revels in his newfound anonymity. He discovers a genuine connection with a pragmatic peasant girl, unburdened by his title.
