Prizrak brodit po Evrope
Summary
In a nameless topography where the tremors of insurrection rattle the foundations of an ancient throne, an Emperor seeks sanctuary in the desolate periphery of his empire. This retreat, intended as a fortress of solitude, becomes a crucible of forbidden affection when he encounters Elka, the progeny of a dissident exile. Their liaison, a bridge between crumbling autocracy and the rising proletariat tide, unfolds against a backdrop of Edgar Allan Poe-inspired dread. As the revolutionary fervor culminates in a literal and metaphorical storm, the pastoral silence is shattered by her father’s vengeful vanguard, leading to a pyrotechnic annihilation of the palace and the tragic dissolution of a love that defied the laws of history. The film serves as a haunting meditation on the inevitable decay of power, filtered through the lens of early Soviet expressionism and Gothic literary tradition.
