Second Hand Love

Tinker Andy Hanks, a resourceful itinerant mechanic, discovers the beleaguered Angela Trent ensnared in a marriage of illicit spirits and a subsequent courtship by the town's parsimonious magnate, Seth Poggins. Hanks intervenes first to extricate Angela from the clutches of her bootlegger husband, whose clandestine distillation threatens both her safety and the moral fabric of the community. The narrative then pivots as Hanks confronts Poggins, whose avarice masquerades as suitor, seeking to bind Angela to a life of fiscal oppression.
