Biography
Chelsea, Massachusetts, claimed him first on 4 October 1885—Harvey Clark stepped out of a brisk Boston autumn and onto the world’s stages. By the time talkies arrived, his face had already haunted silent reels: hunting hidden treasure in The Silver Treasure, unlocking Baldpate’s secrets in the raucous 1929 Seven Keys, and steering the drama of 1934’s Picture Brides. Twenty-three summers after his New England debut, the lights dimmed; Clark’s final bow came 19 July 1938 in Hollywood, California, leaving the screen a little less vivid.
