Summary
Pat O'Farrell, a scion of wealth, eschews idleness to immerse himself in the gritty world of his uncle’s milk transport business. During this pragmatic pursuit, he encounters and is swiftly captivated by Claire Knight, the spirited daughter of the esteemed Knight Car Company patriarch. Unbeknownst to many, Pat is covertly bankrolling "Dad" Perkins, a visionary inventor on the cusp of perfecting a revolutionary super-charger. Pat’s ambition is to integrate this groundbreaking technology into Knight’s formidable racing machines, a move that would undoubtedly redefine automotive performance. However, Perkins, perhaps naively, has entrusted his prototype to Stanton Wade, a calculating lawyer whose intentions are far from altruistic. Wade harbors a clear design to expropriate the invention for his personal gain, a machination Pat is acutely aware of and absolutely determined to thwart. This sets the stage for a clash of wills, where innovation, love, and ambition collide against a backdrop of corporate intrigue.
