Across to Singapore

Set against the bustling, often dangerous backdrop of the Singapore docks, "Across to Singapore" tells the story of two seafaring brothers, Joel and Mark, and the woman who comes between them. Joel, the younger and more impetuous brother, shares a deep, unspoken bond with Priscilla, a spirited young woman who has grown up alongside them. However, their unspoken affection is shattered when Mark, the older, more established brother, returns from a voyage and announces his intention to marry Priscilla. Bound by duty and the rigid social expectations of their community, Priscilla accepts Mark's proposal, leaving Joel heartbroken and increasingly reckless. As Joel struggles with his feelings and the painful reality of his brother's impending marriage, a voyage to Singapore throws the volatile situation into even greater peril, testing loyalties and forcing a confrontation that could have tragic consequences for all three.
