The Great Deception

Cyril Mansfield, a British operative, skillfully infiltrates the German Secret Service, operating as a double agent while clandestinely serving his homeland. His intricate assignment involves disseminating strategically fabricated intelligence to the Imperial German Government. This high-stakes game of deception is further complicated by Lois, an American woman with whom Cyril shares a burgeoning affection, and who is simultaneously pursued by Rizzio, a fellow double agent harboring deep suspicions about Cyril’s true allegiances to Germany. In a calculated maneuver to deliver crucial misinformation, Cyril embarks for Germany, accompanied by his steadfast mechanic, Handy, and Lois. However, the mission takes a perilous turn when Lois is forcibly abducted by Rizzio, transported to headquarters via U-boat, and, through an unfortunate innocence, inadvertently exposes Cyril’s covert role. Both are subsequently condemned to death. Rizzio, feigning assistance, attempts to lure Lois into a diplomatic mission, yet Cyril and Handy, demonstrating remarkable resourcefulness, overpower their captors. The pair, with Lois, execute a daring escape, returning to England in Cyril’s private aircraft, leaving a trail of double-crosses and near-catastrophe behind them.
