Summary
In a frontier landscape perpetually besieged by lawlessness, Gabriel Goober, a rancher of unwavering rectitude and an almost absurd commitment to straight-shooting, finds his pastoral existence violently disrupted. A relentless onslaught by a marauding band of brigands compels his precipitous flight, severing his ties to a life of tranquil agriculture. This enforced exodus, however, proves to be a crucible, forging a new destiny. Goober, now a man imbued with an unexpected, almost mythical capacity for swift justice, assumes the mantle of sheriff in a beleaguered nearby township. There, amidst the dusty thoroughfares and ramshackle edifices, he unleashes a cathartic, albeit comically exaggerated, campaign of open warfare. With an almost superhuman efficacy, he systematically dismantles the bandit confederation, dispatching hundreds of adversaries in a spectacle of frontier retribution that simultaneously satirizes and glorifies the very 'wild and woolly' Western tropes it so gleefully lampoons.
Synopsis
A satire on the wild and woolly type of western picture. A very straight-shooting rancher, Gabriel Goober, is assailed by bandits. Forced to flee, he becomes sheriff of a nearby town and kills a few hundred of his enemies in open warfare.
